Midwest Regional Hospital Recovers After Storm Damage to Roof

This July has been like many in the past. The sun sitting above us laughing with his rays burning down on our foreheads until sweat beads on our brow. Heaven forbid we forget our sun screen. The Kansas City forecast is always sure to read hot with a chance of scattered showers. This wasn't the case two weeks ago. On July 16, Kansas City didn’t just have scattered showers, we had a storm. This storm stretched across the Midwest, relocating tree limbs, power lines and roofs. Oklahoma, our neighbors to the south may have seen the worst of the storm. A local Oklahoma news station reported, “Storm Damage Extensive Across Metro. A local hospital flooded when winds peeled back part of the roof forcing the evacuation of two floors.” With part of the hospital out of commission, ServiceMaster Catastrophe was called in to mitigate the damage. ServiceMaster Catastrophe was at the job site hours after receiving the call. After a full days work here in Kansas City, our crew put in the necessary hours to drive down to Midwest City, OK to begin working, and continued to work throughout the night. To be most efficient, the ServiceMaster Catastrophe crew divided into two team, each working 12 hour shifts to ensure continued progress until the job was complete. With help from the Houston, Waco, Springfield, Chicago, and Kansas City ServiceMaster franchises, we were able to complete the job 28 hours ahead of schedule.
